The light goes, bodies and dance emerge

The sun goes and bodies prepare to give their energy in a tribute to Cuauhtémoc in Ixcateopan, small town near to Taxco in the southern state of Guerrero, Mexico.

Every february 22nd, cents of dancers come into this place to show up their respects to the last aztec emperor, who died in the resistence war against the hispanic conquest in 1525. This town has stone ruins that, during some time, were supposed to contain the rests of the emperor, until professional studies determined this belief was false.
